National Day Celebration

Last sunday which is National Day, instead of following the crowds to marina bay area to catch the fireworks, i went to my friend's house for BBQ instead. We always mentioned of going his house for some gatherings for almost 4 years, and this time we finally went! YESS, his house is real big compared to those HDB of ours. And to our surprise,Eric Khoo's mansion was just opposite of my friend's. =) His parents were very nice. They prepared loads of food for us already, 200 sticks of satays, 80 chicken wings marinated in 2 differents sauces, some big plates of extra large tiger prawns, ribeye, sotong etc. And everyone of us was superb full on that night! it's really great to have such nice food prepared readily for us.

sometimes, i really envy those that are born with silver spoon. They have such luxury life, with no worries for anything at all. Can stay in spacious, well-decorated private property, driving their own car, have plenty of money and have anything they want!

let's get back to NDP. And i remembered for year 2007, i was involved as well. i was inside one of the supporting contingent due to national service. All my saturdays were burnt due to these ndp rehearsals, it's alright as i felt that i ought to do something for singapore as a singaporean. Standing at attention on the platform, saluting with SAR21 while singing our national anthem with our singapore flag flew past really made me a real singaporean! besides this, my friendship between my army dudes bonded as well, so i believed all this tough trainings were worth it!
